Alan Rogers Review
This is a large, open site of some seven hectares, with 125 touring pitches (100 with 10A electricity), nestling on the side of the mountain at the entrance to Font-Romeu. This part of the Pyrenees offers some staggering views and the famous Mont Louis is close by. An ideal base for climbing, hiking and cycling, it would also provide a good stopover for a night or so whilst travelling between Spain and France, or to and from Andorra. The terraced pitches are easily accessed, with those dedicated to caravans and motorcaravans at the top of the site, whilst tents go on the lower slopes. Trees provide shade to many of the pitches from the sun, which can be quite hot at this altitude.
Facilities
Two toilet blocks, one behind reception, the other in the centre of the tent pitches. Traditional in style, they are bright and clean with modern fittings. Toilet for children and excellent facilities for disabled visitors. Shop (25/5-16/9). Bar, restaurant and takeaway service (all July/Aug). Outdoor heated swimming pool (25/5-16/9). Washing machines and dryers at each block. Large games hall. Only electric barbecues are permitted. Max. 1 dog.

Getting there...
Font-Romeu is on the D118, some 12 km. after it branches off the N116 heading west, just after Mont Louis. This is an interesting road with magnificent views and well worth the climb. The site is just before the town, on the left and accessed off the car park.
